Ani and Robbie – a vintage wedding

I was so excited to photography Ani and Robbie’s vintage themed wedding, they are both very creative and had some great ideas for the day.

The details were fantastic with flowers in jars, trinkets and accessories all over the reception venue along with an abundance of bunting, a vintage typewriter displaying the table plan and heart shaped balloons in crates to decorate the barn. It looks brilliant.
As I arrived rather early, I spent a good while photographing the details and taking it all in, it looked great. Then I went in to see Ani and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready, the atmosphere was great, relaxed and happy and the girls had some fabulous outfits lined up. Red lipstick, 1950’s hair styles and the most gorgeous tea length wedding dress with 3 red petticoats for full volume effect teamed with a pair of Vivienne Westwood Heart heels. Ani looked amazing, as did her bridesmaids.

The groom and his groomsmen didn’t go unnoticed either in their tweed suits teamed with pocket watches, the guests even joined in with the vintage theme and dressed accordingly, there were stunning heels, petticoats and braces everywhere, it looked brilliant!
Ani and Robbie got married in their hometown of Stroud, Kent and then went on to the stunning barns in Maidstone for their evening reception.
This is where the wedding really came to life, all the hard work by Ani and Robbie made the venue really reflect their personalities. The cake looks great and even had a Wonder Woman and Batman at the top of the cake which reflects the couples’ keen interest in comic books.
The guests went on to use props to take pictures outside of the barn, I managed to capture a few, I even got the bride and groom.
