Ashleigh and Ryan – Grendon Lakes

Grendon Lakes is a bit of a hidden gem. It is one of those venues that is hidden away, you can glamp, you can get married outside, overlooking the lake. Whats not to love.

I met Ashleigh and Ryan a couple of years ago now, we decided to do an engagement shoot, which we shot at Grendon Lakes, as Ryan is a little camera shy, though looking at the photos below, you wouldn’t know it. It’s quite a nice idea if you are nervous about having a wedding photographer, to have an engagement shoot of some kind, it can help to settle any nerves, and also, its a great way to get to know your photographer even more!

Ashleigh and Ryan had their wedding day there a few months back now, it was a really nice day, in the middle of that hot summer we had, perfect for an outdoor ceremony!

The wedding day was a relaxed day throughout. I arrived at the house for bridal prep, and there was a really calm feel, I even doubled up as transport and took the bridesmaids with me to the venue.

We were really lucky with the weather, so the ceremony went ahead with being outside, overlooking the lake, which was really nice and seemed a little less formal and more relaxed, being outside immediately has that effect.

The reception was also quite informal, people had scattered into groups. Some were huddled underneath the patio heaters and under blankets, others were sat by the lake. Then began a lot of drinking games, the photo booth came out and the dancing began!!

Here are my highlights….
