B + J Game of Thrones Themed Wedding

9th August, 2019 |

Becky and Jonathan

Becky and Jonathan are such a wonderful pair, they were so welcoming as were their families. Both of them are massively into gaming and fantasy and so when they told me of their subtle Game of Thrones theme, I have to say, as a huge fan myself, I was very excited to see how it came together.

Once at the venue the room was beautifully light and held a sense of calm. It was just me and Becky for a little while as the bridesmaids were off on duties, so it was really nice to have a little chat and get to know each other a little more. Becky’s dress was altered specifically for her frame and the seamstress had done a magnificent job, Becky looked so stunning. She also donned a rather gorgeous pair of the Louboutin’s, of which the Bride’s sister and girlfriend (who were both bridesmaids) were arguing over who gets to wear them at their own forthcoming wedding. You know I like my shoes, these were stunning.

Down into the Orangery for the ceremony, it is a gorgeous place to get married, a really lovely room. Considering this was a January wedding, the weather was dry and mild, we were so lucky to have such a lovely weather. It just meant that we were able to spend more time outside in the lovely grounds.

In the reception area I got to see the Game of Thrones theme, it was subtle and done really rather classically. They had chocolate dragon eggs as the centre piece for each table, the tables were names after the houses, and the master of ceremonies provided a sword to cut the cake (which was also surrounded by a dragon, it looked great!). The dragon eggs looked amazing and were later smashed up to eat after the buffet!
