Lisa and Martyn – Riverside Wedding

29th March, 2019 |

Bride and groom, Riverside wedding venueI first met with Lisa and Martyn over a coffee and they told me about the Queen’s Head, a riverside wedding venue in Nassington. I love an outdoor wedding, and so was excited to see the venue. If I haven’t shot at a venue before, I often go and have a look to scout out any good spots for couple shots.
On the wedding day I met Lisa and her ‘team bride’ at her friends house for some pre-wed shots. There was pizza, prosecco and loads of laughter, just the kind of atmosphere I love on a wedding day. The bridesmaids were on form and were loving the camera, I love a good expressive face!

On arriving at the venue, my lovely husband had been taking the groom prep images and was already getting some great shots of the groomsmen outside by the river.

We were totally blessed by the weather, as we were all of last summer, and apart from the ceremony and speeches, the majority of the wedding took place outside. The very talented Petite Rouge sang a beautiful acoustic set outside and then came inside and ramped things up for the evening. Which went down amazingly and had everyone up on the dance floor.
There was a lot going on at the wedding so there was very little down time, with a slightly later ceremony. There were garden games and bubbles, a big BBQ followed by speeches, they then went straight into cutting the cake and getting on the dance floor. With a few pitstops at the photobooth on the way. A great day for a great couple!
