Nic and Alun’s London Wedding

1st August, 2018 |

Where do I start? Nic and Alun’s London wedding was one that stands out in all the best possible ways. Thier Whittlebury Party was also brilliant! We got on from the off and the day was an absolute blast.

For the London wedding, the guests were transported from The Laslett Hotel to the Fitzrovia Chapel via a big red bus. Whereas the bridal party got a white London cab. Now this is a funny story, the cab for me didn’t show, so the nice chap driving said I could ride in the front of the bridal cab, excellent I thought, until I opened the door to find no seat! I had totally forgotten that London cabs have no passenger seat. He told me to keep my head down and hold on. It was hilarious and certainly made for great shots whilst we were driving along!

The celebrations started off as an intimate wedding in the Fitzrovia Chapel in London, an absolutely gorgeous chapel, with a harpist playing elegantly in the entrance whilst the guests were seated. After some drinks and photos out the front, we all clambered onto the bus where there was more champagne, whilst Nic and Alun travelled back in the white cab for some private time.

The atmosphere on the bus was brilliant, the guests were lovely and chatty. The poor bus then got stuck down a rather tight street in central London, we were stuck for around 30 minutes and had the guests knocking on doors to get locals to move their cars so we could get the bus out. It was hilarious and fortunately everyone was in such high spirits it made the journey even funnier!

Back at the Laslett for drinks, we were joined by Lewis Joss, a close up magician, where the guests (and myself) were entertained and amazed by his tricks.

After drinks, we headed back on the bus for a meal at the Ivy, the atmosphere was brilliant and the guests had a wonderful time with the new Mr and Mrs Winney.

To celebrate on a larger scale, the couple had a wedding party two weeks later at Whittlebury Park, the gorgeous decor mimicked the gold and navy tropical themes from the Ivy and the evening was another success. Here are just a few captured throughout the two days.
