S + J – The Barns at Hunsbury Hill

Steph and James’ wedding was an absolute blast, and an emotional whirlwind from the get go. On arrival, the barns in which all the bridal party were getting ready in were stunning, lovely big light rooms and plenty of space. Getting ready with these girls was fun, and a lively champagne bottle made for a few laughs. The ceremony took place in the Barns at Hunsbury Hill and was gorgeous. These two are so full of love for each other which is just beautiful.

We had a great time going off for photos, Steph and James were so natural and easy. I think it is often helped by the calmness of the venue, I do love the grounds at the Barns, there are so many hidden gems away from the crowds here, it’s certainly an understated venue.

The speeches were something special, during his speech, James announced that he and Steph were expecting a baby, what a wonderful way to share such news. Us photographers and videographer knew what was to come, but we were waiting for the reaction of everyone else, which was such a wonderful moment, the room was so full of love.

After the wedding breakfast the whole party moved to the adjacent barn, where the groom’s sister had put together a film of photographs that were special to the couple, which was backed by her singing. It was beautiful and just as emotional as the speeches.

We were blessed with a gorgeous sunset and a calm and relaxed evening which quickly moved on to some great dancing. You know how much I love this bit of the day, inhibitions drop and the performers come out. Love it.
