Paris and Steve – Weston Hall
28th February, 2019 |This was the first wedding I shot at Weston Hall in Warwickshire. But I met Paris and Steve a couple of years ago at Paris’s maid of honours wedding, where I was also the photographer. We hit it off and I held her little boy whilst my wonderful assistant shot a group shot. Thankfully Paris and Steve loved my style and booked me for their own wedding.
This wedding was full of love and emotion, and there were a couple of cool surprises along the way too. In the morning I met Paris and her bridal party at her mums house for some getting ready shots. The house was full and everyone was buzzing for the wedding. Her maid of honour, and a previous bride of mine had her new born there who was a welcome distraction when there was a lull in bridal prep.
Onto Steve, he was welcomed by a brilliant surprise of an Only Fools and Horses car to take him to the church, his face was literally a picture when it arrived and needless to say he loved it.
At the church Paris and Steve’s son had an important job of leading the bridal party down the aisle, which he did a great job of doing.
The ceremony was lovely, the church was very spacious and had some great light which is always a winner for me.
After the ceremony we headed to Weston Hall for the reception. Were greeted by a harpist, which was beautiful and welcome drinks. The weather was on our side so we headed straight out for group shots. We headed off on our own for some couple shots and found some great little nooks we hadn’t spotted on our venue scout a few months previous.
Formalities and confetti out of the way, it was time to retreat and get those natural shots that I love.
The speeches were hilarious and even I was cracking up during the best man’s speech, then it was time to cut the cake. Well, I say cut, they actually went straight in for a bite, I mean, why not!?
The dancing, now the dancing was just brilliant, if your bridemaid’s aren’t doing the dolphin and your guests aren’t breakdancing, complete with handstands, is it even a wedding reception? Definite guest goals right there.
Here are some of the highlights…
