Sarah and Geddy’s Barn Wedding

1st August, 2018 |

When I first met Sarah and Geddy, I just knew that we would get along. With lots in common, including our love of Gin, I was already looking forward to their Barn wedding.

The bridal party all got ready at Sarah’s sister’s house, it was buzzing and everyone was in the throws of getting ready when I arrived. With hair and make-up in full swing, I did my thing and documented it all as it happened.

Chris was over with the Groom at the pub, nearby to the Church, where Sarah and Geddy were getting married. The Church was lovely and light and we were blessed with a gorgeous April sunshine, I think it may have been the first dry wedding of the season!

The reception took place at The Barns at Hunsbury Hill, I always like it here, its a hidden gem of a venue and has so many spots for photographs. The slated lawn is great for group shots too! I like to take advantage of the range of places to have pictures here, so we explored the grounds a little to make the most of our time. We found a great corrugated iron shed, filled with old wooden doors. It looked great in the photographs and contrasted the more countryside images well.

Sarah and Geddy spent a lot of time on the decor of the barn wedding venue. Sarah collected gin bottles and filled them with led lights, as well as used them for table centres adorned with fresh flowers. There was a large wooden carriage wheel which was decorated with fresh flowers and images of their family weddings. This was a lovely touch and something that many of the guests spent time looking at.

The flowers were gorgeous and Sarah later replaced her veil with a flower crown for the evening, this was a great move and it looked stunning. Sarah also threw her bouquet at the start of the evening, it was a hilarious moment, as throwing the bouquet usually is.

Here are some of my favourite images from the day:
